The Smart Ring That Pays (Literally) & Unlocks Your Tesla

Within the tech landscape, smart rings are constantly evolving. A good example of this said evolution can be found with Muse Wearables, a smart ring that is pushing the form factor beyond just health tracking. In a recent interview with Sahil Jaudhri, VP - Global Head of Business at Muse, it was broken down for me just how much the upcoming Muse Ring will strive to combine fashion, payments, and vehicle control into a single device. Check out my discussion with him at the Muse booth (during CES 2026) in the transcribed interview below....

Tomasz: I'm here with Sahil with Muse Ring - a very unique product that doesn't exist anywhere else on the market as far as I can tell. Can you tell us a little bit more about this [ring]?

Sahil: Sure! So we are showing our Muse Ring here. (presenting Muse Ring)

First, you can see it looks very nice, more jewelry-like, more appealing, more fashionable. So we think that this is a big motivation for people to buy one, because you're wearing this all day. You have to look good. The other very unique thing that we've done is you can actually pay with this thing....This is the first thing in the market that you can actually put on a charging case. (showing the charging case)

This is your charging case. And you can take the ring, wear it, and just tap and pay. Go to a retail store, just do this [tap with a ring] and you're ready to go.

Tomasz: ...so you link it to any credit card, debit card that you have?

Sahil: Any credit card, debit card, or a cash card. We're thinking of starting with a cash card so that you can load some balance on it and go and pay anywhere, at a gym, at a Starbucks, anywhere. In addition to payments, this also can become a Tesla key. So you can actually open your Tesla car with it if that's of interest.

Tomasz: That's great!

Sahil: (Continuing) We also do all the health features. We do sleep, stress, strain, everything that you've heard on in the ring market so far. We do all of that as well. We also do cuffless blood pressure monitoring, which is the first of its kind, but we'll be launching it only after the FDA approval. We're making sure we get FDA clearance.

Tomasz: That's amazing. Can you tell us a bit more about the charging case?

Sahil: So this is a cute little charging case....

Tomasz: (Smiling) It is.

SahilI: It allows you 30 days with five full charges of this ring via the case itself. So 30 days, you have this ring ready to go without any cable. If you travel, go on a trip, you're ready to go.

Tomasz: Okay. Is the product out already?

Sahil: We're launching in April 2026, and we welcome you to buy the ring.

Tomasz: That's awesome! Can hardly wait for April! And tell me a little bit about costs. Are there any subscriptions since this used for payments?

Sahil: So we've taken away the subscription. We interviewed the users, and users said: "Please no subscription! No subscription!" $349 is our retail price. In the US, $349 is our US retail price. For CES users, we're offering a 20% early access discount, but in retail, it'll be $349.

Tomasz: $349. Okay, thank you so much.
