Vocci: The Smart Ring That Takes Notes for You

While a lot of smart rings out there focus on fitness, Vocci interrupts this trend by tackling productivity. More specifically, it's a wearable designed specifically to record, transcribe, and highlight important conversations without breaking eye contact. With that in mind, I dropped by the Vocci booth and spoke with Vocci Partner & CMO, Jiajia Zhao, so that I could do a deeper dive on the product. Tomasz: Alright, so I'm here at CES 2026 with Vocci - a smart ring that has recording functionality, allowing you to take notes, highlight notes, et cetera. Jiajia, can you tell us a little bit more about that?

Jiajia Zhao: That's right [Tomasz]. So people forget about stuff in their daily lives....You have long meetings...? You don't want to listen back or you find it hard to find information about a meeting...?

So we've introduced Vocci , (showing the ring on his finger) the first AI note taking ring to solve that problem. Basically, this is a very straightforward operation. You can just double click on the button (clicking button on the ring) to start recording and double click (double clicking that same button) to stop. And during a long meeting, sometimes there are interesting ideas or important points coming out. You can just click on the [ring] button and highlight that. And then on the app, you will get the transcription of the whole meeting. So you will see the messages, all the stuff that different people say and all the highlights that are marked. And also we will have AI insights for those highlighted messages.

Tomasz: Okay. (Examining ring) It looks great and it's not distracting (demonstrating the action of tapping the ring button), which I feel other devices like it may be. For example, with some devices like it you have to reach for the device and fiddle with it or reach for an earphone and start tapping it near your ear. However, with Vocci, if you're talking to somebody they wouldn't be distracted by your action.

Jiajia Zhao: That's right! You again would just click with your thumb on your right here (pointing to the ring button). Nobody would even see that it's happening.

Tomasz: Nice! I would definitely say that's non intrusive.

Jiajia Zhao: We value user's privacy. We also have the GDPR, SoC2, those kinds of compliance design.

Tomasz: Got it! Another worry that I have is internal storage. Do we have any internal storage here?

Jiajia Zhao: Yes. So you don't have to connect to phones to use that. Basically, the audio will be saved in your ring. And optionally, (showing the app on his phone) you can upload to our service! So our AI service can transcribe and you can ask the AI to generate stuff for you! (Smiling)

Tomasz:  That's amazing! And how long does the battery last?

Jiajia Zhao: 8 hours of recording.

Tomasz: So you could just wear it, but the battery only kicks in whenever you tap on it?

Jiajia Zhao: That's right! So 8 hours of recording, maybe two days of usage. You also get a charging case. That looks pretty nice. Yeah, so you can go cable free for a week.

Tomasz: Okay, great! And I guess my last question is, what if I forget to take it off and I hop in the shower?

Jiajia Zhao: Oh, it's water-resistant! And this is made of, actually, aerospace-grade titanium. (Placing the ring in Tomasz's hand) Can you feel it?

It's very lightweight. Super light. And very sturdy and also allergy-friendly.

Tomasz: That's great! Now, say if I asked AI a question like "Hey, I was talking to JiaJia, and he told me the rings were launching in...?"

Jiajia Zhao: We are launching in February. (Smiling)

Tomasz: Amazing! Got it, so you're launching in February...What is the price for the unit?

Jiajia Zhao: So we are still finalizing the price. Depending on the market that we are seeing....But basically, it will be discussed in February.

Tomasz: This is amazing! Thank you so much, Jiajia!
