With a career that has spanned more than years half a century, Mr. Sarandon has had iconic roles in some of the most memorable classics in movie history: from a charismatic vampire to a despicable king, from a despicable king to a weathered cop, these figures just to name a few from Mr. Sarandon's body of work. At this year's Awesome Con, I spoke with the actor about what draws him to a role (considering his track record) as well as his thoughts on films - that he has started in - commonly being remade for modern audiences.
