Though it would seem like a no-brainer for a writer/director of a hit horror film to return to work on the sequel, this may not be the case for yet Untitled A QUIET PLACE Sequel. While the writer/director (and star), John Krasinski, is clear that he would love to direct the sequel, it might not happen based on a recent interview.
In speaking with The New York Times, Krasinski stated the following:
"Paramount asked if I would write it and I’m doing that now, but I’m still thinking about what I want to do next. If I can crack the idea, I would love to direct it again, and if I can’t, I would love to give it to someone else with my fingerprints on it to make sure it’s being taken care of."
The yet Untitled A QUIET PLACE Sequel is scheduled to release in Summer 2020.
