Though his name was synonymous with the action genre back in the 80s and 90s, Van Damme has made a resurgence of late thanks not only to the recent Amazon Prime release, JEAN CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON, but also now with the return of the KICKBOXER franchise. Taking place years after the first film, this new installment finds Van Damme's character, Durand, in the role of trainer to MMA champion Kurt Sloane as he prepares for a death match against a 400lb killer enhanced with state - of the -art drugs (Game of Thrones' Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson).
