Though it's unimaginable to not find a plethora of sci-fi series centered around space exploration or a series set in the days of swords & sandles these days, the same could not be said 20 years ago (let alone a decade ago). However, back in the 90s, star Kevin Sorbo was at the forefront of this movement that is now commonplace. Without his headlining role as the demigod, Hercules, in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, we not have shows like Spartacus or Black Sails.
